5/9 - Changes abound...

5/9 - What a huge change in a couple days!  The puppies have hearing.  There little ears are flapping now kind of like elephant ears (now that is an image).  They are on all fours walking very clumsily around the whelping box.  They are starting to climb as if to get out.  They are demanding Sassy's attention and milk relentlessly and waking me out of a sound sleep on the first scream now - whom is training whom?  I am expecting an escape artist to climb out of the box in the next three days.  I am setting up the space for the puppies in the den for moving this weekend.  I am convinced at the rate they are going that we will need the 36" exercise pens soon.  Now if they learn to climb out of that, I am in real trouble!!!!  They had their first dose of worming medicine this past weekend.   This weekend they get their first dose of medicine to prevent any parasites.  We will update all the photos on Friday.  The vet was over this week to visit (me) and couldn't get over how cute the puppies were and how healthy - "they even smell good!"  I was very pleased to hear her high praise of my system and care of our precious pups!  So all in all, it has been an eventful week full of changes!
